We certainly don't want you to have to get your knowledge
about trading the
stock market by going through this process yourself! So, let's
begin by outlining some of the problems of trading.
We are all driven by the desire to get ahead financially in
our world. This desire is sometimes referred to as "greed."
Do you remember the movie from the late 1980s entitled "Wallstreet,"
starring Michael Douglas? In this movie Michael gave a rather
chilling speech
about "greed is good," which was taken from a stock market
swindler Ivan Boesky. Ivan said to a group of students, "You
CAN be greedy and feel good about yourself." What we want
you to know and understand about this is that we all need a
desire to succeed, which can be interpreted as greed, and we all
need to be able to
combine that with our "fear of loss" to create the proper
balance to become successful traders. Now, combine this
with the PW$ TRADER, and Professor

emotions of trading in the financial markets.
Let's bring this all into perspective... no matter how old
you are now, you probably haven't fallen out of bed for quite
a while. Since you haven't fallen out of bed for a while,
you probably have quit worrying about falling out of bed, and sleep
very comfortably. Now let's suppose I put a post under the
center of your bed to raise your bed in the air 10 feet each
night, until on the 10th night your bed is 100 feet in
the air. Now you're probably worrying about falling
out of bed. In fact, by the time you were only 10 feet high, you may
have started putting side boards on the bed.
Trading in the markets might give you a feeling very similar to the
above analogy. When you're trading with amounts of money
that you're comfortable with, and have the experience and
knowledge necessary, you can learn to trade the way you
sleep... with confidence.
